When Ruby Raut, founder of WUKA, and Joanna Vazquez, founder of Quatro Gymnastics, met, it wasn’t just a meeting of minds, it was a moment of shared purpose.

From Different Worlds. Facing the Same Barrier.
Ruby, a former scientist and menstrual health advocate, built WUKA to solve a problem she experienced firsthand: the lack of dignified, high-performance period protection. WUKA’s period-proof underwear changed daily life for thousands, but in gymnastics, the need was still urgent.
Joanna, a former gymnast turned founder, spent over a decade designing elite leotards for the world’s top athletes. She heard the same story again and again, from gymnasts, coaches, and parents: girls were stepping away from the sport they love because of the fear of leaking, the discomfort, and the shame that still surrounds periods and bladder leaks.
